Greentowers First Dispersal Sale

GREENTOWERS TOPS WITH ACHIEVER ROELLA 

The first sale to disperse the Greentowers pedigree Holstein for the Smith family who farm near Lanark took place at the  Borderway Sale Centre on Friday 12^th November.  Trade topped at 2,100gns on three occasions with the overall average coming to almost £1500.  Approximately 30% of the sale animals were purchased online with buyers from nine counties recorded on the buyers list.

Greentowers Achiever Roella topped the trade at 2,100gns and was purchased by John Graham from Stirling.  This perfect uddered heifer was sired by ABS Achiever and was giving 27kgs.

Also selling 2,100gns was a super udder young cow sired by Josuper.  She had been purchased as a fresh heifer from the Stardale herd last year during the Border & Lakeland Sale and completed her first lactation with over 11000kgs.  She was bred from ten generations of Excellent or Very Good classified dams from the Vaakje cow family and was purchased by John Montgomery from Glasgow. 

The third animal to sell for 2,100gns was Greentowers Fantasmic Widgeon who was purchased by the Dockeray family from near Wigton.  She was sired by De-Su Fantasmic and had calved in late August.
