Sold 101 Clean Cattle, 116 Cast Cows, 2252 Prime Lambs and 507 Cast Sheep

Bullocks (36) averaged 248p per kg and sold to 288p  (n/c on the week) 

Heifers (64) averaged 244p per kg and sold to 300p (n/c on the week)

Young Bulls (1) sold to 233p

Cast Cows (115) averaged 151p per kg and sold to 213p  (+3p on the week) Top price £1771

Lambs (2252) averaged 285.1p per kg, (+2.9p on the week) £124.36 per head and sold to £300 for Beltex Lambs

Top price 588p per kg for Beltex Lambs.

Cast Sheep (507) averaged £104.10, and sold to £191 for a Bleu de Maine

Heavy Ewes averaged £120,  light ewes sold to £121 for North Country Cheviot Ewes, and averaged £93

PRIME LAMBS: 

Christmas Show and Sale of Prime Lambs- fantastic show of 80 pairs of lambs presented infront of the Judge Mr R.Briggs of Briggsys Butchers, Jedburgh

The Champion pen was awarded to the first prize pen of Beltex Lambs from Messrs Hall, Horsley Hill Farm.  The outstanding pair weighed 51kgs and sold to the judge at £300 per head.

Reserve prize was awarded to the same home for the best pen of Young Farmers Lambs, again selling to the judge for Beltex’s at 49kgs £180
