British Blues sold to a top of 5,600gns at the Border British Blue Club's 32nd Annual Autumn Sale at Borderway Mart, Carlisle on Friday 1st October 2021.
Top call came for, Stonebyres Primrose, a sweet, 20 month old daughter by Clinton du Falgi and out of Stonebyres Jasmine. Primrose was consigned by Blair & Shona Comrie, Stonebyres Mains, Lanark and was knocked down for 5,600gns to E Gethin & Co, Ty Coch, Tregynon, Newton. Messrs Comrie also wins the Border British Blue Club Trophy for the highest price animal owned by a member of the Border Club.
Next in the price ratings on 5,100gns, was Stewart Gill, Hallfield House Farm, Dacre, Harrogate with Hallfield Orca ET, a November 2019 born son from the Farouk De St Amand & Pendle Knock Em Out flush. Signing the cheque was NA & J Temple, Blackhall Farm, Ulpha, Broughton in Furness.
Also hitting the high spots was Simon Hughes, Hawhtorn View, Newtown with Hawthorn Blues Onetoomany ET, a September 2019 son of the Acrics Monty and Hawthorn Blues Midnight Melody flush. He was knocked down for 4,500gns to WJ Morrison & Fairburn, Longmanhill, Banff.
Blair & Shona Comrie sold Stonebyres Pippa, an April 2020, blue and white heifer by Stonebyres Mad Max and out out Stonebyres Keira. Pippa was snapped up by K & R Foster Ltd, Solway View, Newton Arlosh, Wigton.
