Badger Face Texel Sheep Show & Sale

The Annual Badger Face Texel Sale took place at Carlisle on Saturday and saw a top price of 6000gns achieved for a shearling gimmer. This was Hackney Beyonce consigned by Paul & Christine Tippetts. She was the Overall Cahmpion of the day, sired by the imported Sunnybank26308-22696 out of Woodies Zara and purchased on the day by Brown & Mason, Lancashire.

Stuart Hunter sold the next top price at 4000gns which also topped the ram section. Hunters Carslberg was a triplet lamb by Cleenagh Biggy and out of Hunters Alanis. He sold to a half share split to Messrs Jones, Pencader and Messrs Francis, Abergorlech, Wales.

The Hunters flock attained the next top price of 3800gns, this time for the 2^nd prize shearling gimmer Hunters Bergonia, she is sired by Hunters Action Man out of an imported ewe. She joins the Baileys flock in Cheshire.

The next price goes across the water to Northern Ireland to Messrs Johnston, Co Antrim. Messrs Clamp sold Riverside Carlsberg, a February born ram lamb by Ingst Batman out of Turbo Das and sold to 3400gns.

Ewe lambs topped at 2000gns for the Reserve Female Champion from the Woodies Flock. Woodies Catch Me if You Can who is sired by Powerful Tornado and goes to Messrs Preston, West Yorkshire.
