Mass Reduction of the Harold Texel Flock

On Saturday 25th September at Borderway Mart, Harrison & Hetherington held the mass reduction sale of the Harold Texel flock on behalf of JV Hodgson & Son.

Topping the sale at 1000gns was a Harold Boston Red Sox 2019 born ewe out of a Nunstainton daughter. She sold to the Glenrock flock, Dumfriesshire.

The Glenrock flock also purchased the next price of 750gns, this time an Alwent Advance daughter who ranks in the top 25% EBV of the breed.

A Haddo Balvenie daughter scores the next price of 700gns, she scores in the top 1% of the breed with an index of 292. She joins the Thackwood flock, belonging to Janet Wales, Cumbria.

The first shearling in the ring fetches a price tag of 700gns, she also ranks in the top 1% with an index of 281 and sired by Corriecravie Benchmark out of a Rugley Yolo, she moves across to Northumberland to Messrs Mews.
