Zwatbles In Lamb Sale

The recent Zwartbles in lamb and ewe lamb sale topped at 2000gns for Craigies Just So, a ewe lamb bred by Stuart Craig. This lamb was sired by Corrybrae Horatio and out of Craigies Eye Candy. She had won 1^st prize and Overall Champion in the pre-sale show and went on to be purchased by Messrs Stayt from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

Caroline Anderson was the vendor of the next two best priced lots. Both shearing gimmers, the first of these was Wallridge Moor Honor who sold for 1800gns, she was sired by Wallridge Moor Finn and out of Wallridge Moor Flame.  Following her into the ring was Wallridge Moor Honey who sold for 1500gns, she was sired by Wallridge Moor Griff and out of Saltur Eleanor. Both these gimmers sold in lamb to Didcot Fjord and were both purchased by Messrs Bower from Bridgnorth, Shropshire.

The 1^st prize shearling gimmer came from Messrs Owen of the Cernyw flock. This gimmer Cernyw Heddwen, was sired by Cernyw Ffortiwn and out of Conwy Twts. She had been served by Craigies Jedi Master and was purchased for 1000gns by Messrs Addison, Barnard Castle.

Included in the sale was the dispersal of the Saltur flock on behalf of TW & SP Donnelly, the consignment from this home topped at 1300gns for a shearling gimmer, Saltur Harper. This gimmer was sired by Lochlad Fileape and out of Saltur Destiny.  Scanning in lamb to Wallacetown Gung Ho she was purchased by Messrs Heigh from Bentham, Lancashire.
