Charollais Show and Sale

Topping the annual Charollais sheep society sale held at Carlisle was the 2nd prize shearling ram consigned by D & J Norman of the Kirkhouse flock which sold for 850gns. This ram Rowanston Vital Spark, bred by R & J Andrew, was sired by Logie Durno Ultimatum and out of a Rowanston ewe by Lowerye Krikey. He was purchased by Messrs Harrison, Peebleshire.

Mr Jim Neil, Runningburn flock single shearling ram entry, sired by Logie Durno Umpire who won Interbreed Lamb Champion at the Royal Welsh show 2019 and out of an Arbryn ewe sold to 800gns to Messrs Roper, Cleator Moor.

The Runningburn flock consigned the Supreme Champion, a late December born lamb by Logie Durno Umpire and out of a Brettles Sherman daughter. He sold for 750gns to Messrs Furness, Buxton.

Females topped at 480gns for a ewe lamb from the Carnew flock sired by Oakchurch Unbeatable and out of a homebred dam and sold to Messrs Todhunter, Wigton.
