Christmas Poultry Sale

On Wednesday 22nd December, Harrison & Hetherington Limited, Carlisle held their annual festive Christmas poultry sale.  A smaller than anticipated entry of 200 birds were presented to a good ringside of buyers. 

Topping the sale at £110 was a 13kg Oven Ready Turkey from Messrs Hornsby, Rose Farm, Silloth and was offered for sale in aid of Parkinson UK, followed by a 12kg Turkey in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society selling for £105.

Small Turkeys sold to 5.9kg from Messrs Lamb How, Seascale.

Geese sold to £65 for a 5.5kg from Messrs Kyle, Church View, Roweltown and another to £65 for a 4.7kg from Messrs Soulsby, Williamsgill.
