Borderway Weekly Sale of Calves

On Wednesday 12^th January Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of a massive 484 calves. A great show of calves was forward which was a credit to all consignors. A great ringside of 44 buyers were present ensuring all calves were well bid for. Topping today’s sale at £530 was a cracking Blue bull from Messrs Fisher, Smalmstown. Once again bulls sold to great rates with 6 week old bulls regularly £380 plus. Aberdeen Angus bulls topped at £505 from Messrs Elwen, Netherfield. Young calves continue to sell to great rates. Dairy bred bulls topped at £360 for two Fleckvieh’s from Messrs Martin, Horseholme Farm.
