Kirkby Stephen OTM & Cast Cows

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their fortnightly sale of cast and OTM cattle.

Topping at £1862.08 was a 11 year old cast Limousin Bull which weighed 1055kg and made 176.5p/kg from Messrs Tiplady, Red House Farm, Barnard Castle and was bought by Owain Llyr, Ruthin.

Cows topped at £1436.58 for an eight year old Limousin cross weighing 828kg and making 173.5p/kg from Messrs Atkinson, Abbey Park, Bleatarn bought by Messrs Roberts.

Dairy cows topped at £1209.80 for a 12 year old Friesian from Messrs Hodgson, Soulby Grange bought by D Barker.

All classes of cast cows were on fire with an overall sale average of £1124.10 and 153.28p/kg being achieved.
