Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their February Beef Breeding Cattle Sale.

Topping the sale at £3000 was a British Blue cross second calver with Limousin cross Bull calf at foot, from Messrs Hunter, Upper Brydekirk, Annan selling to Messrs Harrison, High Beck Head, Barnard Castle.

Incalf heifers topped at £2850 for a Limousin cross in calf to the Blonde bull from Messrs Bradley, Penny Grange, Settle which was bought by Messrs Brown & Mason, Keasden Head, Clapham.

Incalf heifers also sold to £2650 and £2500 from Limousin crosses and £2550 for a British Blue cross from Penny Grange.

The consignment of 20 Limousin and British Blue cross incalf heifers from this home sold to average £2322.22.

Messrs Preece, High House Farm, Kirkby Lonsdale sold a second calved Limousin cross cow with heifer calf at foot to make £2750 selling to Messrs Beveridge, Bishop Auckland.
