Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 16th March Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves with an entry of 435 calves. Topping today’s trade at £555 was a cracking British Blue from Messrs Fisher, Smalmstown whose fantastic run of 20 calves averaged £490.

Heifers sold to a top of £520 for a British Blue calf again from regular consignor Messrs Wadsworth, Big Balcraig young calves took a dramatic lift with some classes being £100 dearer on the week. Dolphenby Farms sold their run of 24 two week old calves averaged £185.Aberdeen Angus heifers sold to increased rates with some being again £100 dearer. Black & White calves would remain similar on the week.
