Badger Face Texel Inlamb Sale

The annual Badger Face Texel Sheep Society in lamb sale was held at Carlisle on Thursday where a top price of 2500gns was achieved for a Woodies ewe.

This was an imported ewe consigned by Stuart Wood’s Woodies flock. She sold scanned in lamb to Powerful Tornado and was purchased by Messrs Pedley, Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria.

Jan Rodenburg’s Turbo Das flock sold in the next best priced animal at 2000gns, his first shearling  gimmer in the pen was sired byTurbo Das Notorious B.I.G. She was scanned twins to  in lamb to Turbo Das Gunner. The successful bidder on this occasion was J & D Clamp, Riverside flock.

Following closely behind this at 1900gns was another gimmer consigned by Hannah Pedley, this time in lamb to Cleenagh Appollo. She sold to Messrs Sowerby, Brampton,  Cumbria.

Stuart Wood sold the next best at 1800gns, an import sired by R Van Eck, this gimmer has been scanned in lamb to the imported ram Full Monty. She was purchased by Messrs Johnston, Northern Ireland.
