No let up in trade at Lockerbie
A smaller show of cattle in terms of quality and numbers, shows no signs on the trade easing. Charolais cattle from Messrs Reid of Glendearg make over 270ppk for bullocks and 250ppk for heifers. While Aberdeen Angus bullocks from Darlawhill sell to 253ppk and £965 per head. Limousin heifers from Messrs Sloan of Hunterhouse sold to 262ppk.
The next sale at Lockerbie is the much-anticipated fair day show and sale of store cattle on the 12th of April. Please advise Auctioneers of entries for forthcoming sales.
