On Monday 4th April Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store & breeding sheep.
A larger entry of ewes and lambs were forward with a much busier ringside of buyers ensuring all breeds and qualities were dearer on the week. A large percentage of doubles were Mule ewes which were very well bid for. Top price of the day was paid for a Texel 2 shear from Barbara Teasdale, Ling Cottage, Ousby selling for £114 a life. Mules sold to a top of £85 a life for a Mule ewe with her Suffolk x lambs at foot from Messrs Edgar, Fellside Penrith.
