Borderway Weekly Sale of Calves

On Wednesday 6^th April Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves with a total of 480 calves forward.  All classes a tad sharper on the week.

British bulls were a flier today with regular consignor Messrs Fisher, Smalmstown Farm, topping at a whopping £520 for two bull calves.  Limousins were up to £510 twice from Messrs AW Preston, Wed Holme and £510 for Angus bull calves from Messrs Threlkeld, Ladywells for a cracking bull calf.  Messrs Bell, Nerewater Farm topped the Friesian trade at £160 today respectively.

Heifers were a big trade again today with Messrs Wadsworth, Big Balcraig seeing a return of £520 for British Blue heifer.  Messrs Fisher topped the Angus section twice at £440 and Messrs Wadsworth was up to £430 three times for Angus heifers also.
