At St Boswells on Monday 11th April Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly Prime stock sale of cattle and sheep

47 Clean Cattle, 36 Cast Cows, 1610 Prime Hoggs and 135 Cast Sheep

Bullocks (11) averaged 259p per kg and sold to 280p

Heifers (36) averaged 262p per kg and sold to 310p

Cast Cows (33) averaged 204p per kg and sold to 277p Top price £2515

Cast Bulls (3) averaged 160p per kg and sold to 165p. Top price £1765

Hoggs (1610) averaged 251p per kg, (-2p on the week)

£123 per head and sold to £158 for Texel Hoggs

Top price 359p per kg for Beltex Hoggs

Cast Sheep (135) averaged £122.32, and sold to £195 for Texel Ewes

Heavy Ewes averaged £142, light ewes sold to £151 for North Country Cheviot Ewes, and averaged £91

Fantastic show of cattle forward for todays Easter Show of Prime Cattle which was kindly judged by Mrs Louise Forsyth, Forsyths of Peebles.

Champion went to W.B Hamilton & Sons, Bee Edge for a Limousin.x Heifer weighing 602 kgs 310p to R.B Livestock, Jedburgh

Bee Edge also took Reserve Champion with a Limousin.x Heifer at 602 kgs 298p bought by Hugh Black & Sons Ltd, Armadale.
