Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their fortnightly sale of cast and OTM cattle.
They just keep getting dearer!
Topping the sale at 233.5p/kg was a Limousin cross cow from Messrs Slack, Stoneriggs.
An eight year old Holstein cow topped the sale per head at £1489.23 for a 839kg making 177.5p/kg from Messrs Hastwell, The Buildings, Kaber.
All classes were the dearest seen with an overall sale average of 172.34p/kg and £1214.59 and three quarter of the sale being Black & White cows.
Dairy cows averaged 169p/kg and £1248.75 per head.
Beef cows averaged 176p/kg and £1208.02 per head.
