On Monday 25th April Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store & breeding sheep.
280 units were forward with an array of types on offer. Another fantastic trade was witnessed with all classes of sheep well bid for. Topping today’s sale at £126 for a pen of 5 Texel x hoggs with single lambs at foot. The same home sold a pen of 4 shear ewes with twins to £107. 4 shear mule ewes with singles also achieved a fantastic £107 for a pen of 14 from Messrs Scott, Bleabank Farm. Texel shearlines topped at £122 for a single from Emily Harryman and a lovely run of 1st cross Texel shearlings from Messrs Lord, The Bog with mainly pairs averaged at £108. One again older ewes sold very well with Messrs Gardner, Glebelands selling 41 Texel cross units with pairs to average £84 and Messrs Williams, Cinderbarrow Farm selling his run of mule ewes to average £81.50.
