Borderway Breeding Sheep Sale

Borderway, Rosehill, Carlisle, CA1 2RS

Another large show of ewes and lambs and hoggs and lambs were forward at Borderway with a busy ring side of buyers watching on and the wet morning ensuring a much steadier trade. First cross hoggs with lambs proved the hardest to cash with some vendors leaving disappointed. Top price of the day was paid for a Texel hogg with a Beltex lamb at foot selling from £142 from Tom Linton, The Firs, Muirhouse Farm. Commercial hoggs looked a very good buy and encouragement to kill out older ewes and replace with youth.
