A smaller show of ewes and lambs and hoggs and lambs were forward at Borderway on Monday due to the ongoing season, but yet again trade and demand remains strong. All classes of sheep were very good to sell with customers looking for all ages and qualities.
Top price of the day was paid for 2 pens of Hoggs with lambs from Paul & Jayne Inman, Kilnknowe, Lockerbie for their first consignment topping the day at £126 a life with the run of 40 units averaging £120.39 per head.
Top price per family was paid for a Texel x ewe with triplets from Messrs Pattinson, Kinkry Hill selling for £368 per unit.
