Lockerbie Store Cattle Sale

On Tuesday 6^th June Harrison & Hetherington held their fortnightly sale of store cattle at Lockerbie Mart.

A flying trade from start to finish for all classes of cattle. Top price today was £1690 for a tremendous Limousin steer from Messrs I & C Richardson, Purdomstone whose run of cattle today averaged £1517.50. Aberdeen Angus bullocks topped at £1095 from Messrs E & J More, Maxellbank respectively.  

Heifers topped at £1210 from Messrs Wilson, Belzies for a thumping Limousin heifer. Messrs More, Maxwellbank also topped the Aberdeen Angus heifer section at £1175. Hereford heifers were in the money topping at £800 from Messrs Long, Keyla Park.
