Carlisle Beef Breeding Sale

On Friday 10^th June, Harrison and Hetherington held their monthly Beef Breeding sale at Borderway Mart.

A smaller show of cows and heifers were forward, with Messrs McAlister, Wester Thomason run of heifers and claves selling to average £3150 and topping at £3700 for a Limousin cross heifer and calf and to £3300 for a British Blue cross heifer and calf.

Messrs Dickinson, High House sold a Limousin cross heifer and calf for £3200 and a Limousin cross cow and calf for £2450.Messrs Dunlop & Son, South Biggart Farm run of heifers and calves topped at £2900.Messrs Connell Wanton Walls sold a Limousin heifer and calf for £2800.

Messrs Pattinson, The Flatt sold a British Blue incalf heifer for £1560 (x2).

Bulling heifers topped at £1620 for a British Blue cross from Messrs Hall, Prior Hall, Messrs Dickinson, High House sold the top priced Limousin cross heifer for £1560 (x4)
