Border & Lakeland Holstein Club Sale

Borderway, Rosehill, Carlisle, CA1 2RS

The Border & Lakeland Holstein summer sales kicked off in style with an impressive group of freshly calved cows and heifers all giving oceans of milk.  Trade remained similar on the month with a top of 4,100gns with the overall average for milkers coming to £2277.

The show was sponsored by Dugdale Nutrition and was judged by John Unsworth from Edenfield Farm near Preston.  His overall Champion went to the winning cow, Drointon Dynasty TS Marqi who was consigned by David & Jim Gray from near Glasgow and went on to sell for 3,300gns to Notniord Holsteins from the Midlands.  She was sired by Jackpot Dynasty and bred from an Excellent 95 dam and will complete sixteen generations of Excellent or Very Good cows when she classifies later this year.
