Lockerbie Store Cattle Sale

On Tuesday 21^st June Harrison & Hetherington held their fortnightly sale of store cattle at Lockerbie Mart.

Prices remain strong through the summer months at Lockerbie with fortnightly sales continuing right through the year both numbers and prices are up. Young cattle exceed axpectations reaching 266ppk for a Limousin from Messrs Porteous, Penlaw and 239ppk for an Aberdeen Angus bullock from Messrs Taylor, Fingland. Heifers were also up to 250ppk again from Messrs Porteous, Penlaw. Aberdeen Angus bullocks from Messrs Wilson, Esbie sold to £1040 and Simmental bullocks to £1000 from Messrs More, Maxwellbank.
