Borderway Sale of Calves

On Wednesday 29th June Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly Calf Sale at Borderway with a strong show of 314 forward.  Topping the sale was a Charolais bull calf from George Ireland, Morley Hill selling for £700 Aberdeen Angus topped at £515 from the same home.  British Blue bulls topped at £510 again from George Ireland.   British Blue heifers topped at £480 from M J Scott, Milton Hall Farm, Brampton.  Dairy calves topped at £305 from Messrs Beard, Dormansteads, Carlisle for a pair of British Friesian bulls.  Holsteins Friesians peaked at £255 from W & D Threlkeld Ladywells.  A good show was forward with all calves being well sold.  Many more calves can be sold at Borderway to vendors advantage.
