Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 13^th July Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly Calf Sale at Borderway with an entry of 254 calves forward.  A smaller show was presented due to the Yorkshire Show and current weather conditions which saw all classes meeting resistance in all sectors.  Topping the sale was a pair of British Blue steers from TW Martin, Tempest Tower selling for £565.  Heifers topped at £505 for a Limousin heifer from Richards Wilson, Broomberry.  Blue heifers topped at £480 again for a pair from T W Martin, Tempest Tower.  Dairy calves topped at £330 for a pen of Montbeliardes from JP & GS Simpson, Knock.  More calves are required for next week.
