Borderway Sale of Calves

On Wednesday 20^th July Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly Calf Sale at Borderway with all classes dearer on the week with stronger calves seeing the biggest lift.

Todays top price was £640 from Messrs Crozier, Raggetsyke with a thumper of a suckler bred Charolais bull calf.  British Blue bulls topped at £570 from Messrs Harrison, Round Hill.  A large entry of sale calves were forward from Capper Farming who topped at £520 for a Saler.  £570 topped the Limousin section from Messrs Harrison, Roundhill.  Messrs Elwen, Netherfield was £440 for a tremendous Angus Bull.  £560 was top price Charolais heifer from Messrs Crozier, Raggetsyke again for a suckler bred calf.  Messrs Harrison, Roundhill topped the Blue heifer section at £530 for a strong calf.  Angus were on the money at £405 from Messrs Elwen, Netherfield and Limousins were up to £380 from Capper Farming.  All classes sold better on the week with more calves required weekly.
