Flesh and weight still good to sell, average similar on the week at 257p

Sale topped at £141 for a pen of hard fed Beltex lambs from W K McGowan, Glenholly House, Craiglea to Vivers Scotlamb

Cast sheep numbers continue to grow both locally and nationwide as grass becomes a scarcity, smarter heavy ewes still a sound trade, whilst lighter bred and leaner sorts steady

Sale top of £181 with a fantastic Texel from local breeder J R Whitecross Esq, Clarabad Mill, whilst tups from the same good home peaked at £159
