At Wooler on Wednesday 7th September Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of primestock selling 1901 prime sheep comprising of 1483 Lambs and 418 Cast Ewes and Rams

Lambs:

Quality fleshed export types a great trade, light leaner commercials again harder to cash, heavies also selling well

The sale was topped with Beltex to £140 from Bewick Folly also Texels to £140 from Newstead and Castle Hills

Cast sheep sold to a solid go throughout with all classes following the national trend in being dearer again on the week

Sale peak of £193 for a pair of smartly bred Texel ewes from J R Whitecross Esq, Clarabad Mill purchased by regular sheep buyer J T Dunn, West Farm, Ponteland
