Broughton Sale of Store & Breeding Sheep

At Broughton Mart on Tuesday 6th September Harrison & Hetherington held their store and breeding sheep sale with a much-increased entry of 840. A busy ringside of buyers creating a great buzz and atmosphere with many customers leaving delighted with their days trading.  Breeding rams topped at £320 twice firstly for a Blue Texel shearling from Messrs Benson, Horrace and then for a Texel shearling from ID Rawlinson, Quarry Bank.

Mule shearling gimmers topped at £155 from KW & A Todd, East Mount while Mule gimmer lambs topped at £100 from RD Holland & Co, Low Scales.

Store lambs topped at £93 for a pen of Charolais crosses from T Miller, Brookside.

The next store lamb sale at Broughton Auction Mart will take place on Tuesday 6th September.
