Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their annual September store cattle sale.
Topping the sale at £1950 was the Overall Champion beast which was a 15 month old Limousin cross heifer consigned by Messrs Atkinson, Abbey Park, Bleatarn, with the successful purchaser being Kelsey Maughan and Chris Pears.
Our judge Mr Will Harrison, Bishop Burton awarded the overall reserve champion to the first prize Limousin cross steer at 13 months old which sold for £1655 and was consigned by Messrs Atkinson, Hawkrigg Farm, Colby and successfully purchased by the judge.

Plenty of well bred steers and heifers sold between £1500 and £1950.
Messrs Atkinson, Abbey Park sold another 15 month old Limousin cross heifer to make £1720 which was bought by Messrs Wilson, Arngill House, Lunedale.
A pair od 15 month old British Blue cross steers sold to make £1675 from Messrs Hughes, Dona Close, Asby which were bought by D Barker.
Messrs Batty, Dry Evers, Maulds Meaburn sold a 13 month old Limousin cross steer to make £1615 selling to Messrs Burrow, Skipton.
Steers averaged £1178.98 up £34.02 on the year and heifers averaged £1116.32.
