Annual Easycare Shep Sale

On Friday 30th September, the Annual Easycare sheep sale took place at Borderway Mart, Carlisle.
Trade was on fire for all classes especially for females, ensuring a great clearance rate throughout.

Topping the ram section was a shearling ram consigned by Mr Derek Steen, Moffat, this April born twin sold for 1800gns and sold to Mr Davidson, Dunfermline, Fife.

Following on at 1600gns was Messrs Howard, Yorkshire with a May born shearling, going to Messrs Sordy, Alnwick, Northumberland.

Messrs Steen takes the next price of 1200gns with another shearling going to Rosebery Estates, Edinburgh.

Messrs Cowie, Aberdeen purchased the second in Mr Howard’s run of shearling for £1050.
In the female section Messrs Cook, Bedfordshire sold a pen of 10 shearling gimmers for £220 to

Messrs Winn, Kendal. Messrs Winn also purchased his next pen of 10 for £202.
Ewe lambs topped at £168 for a pen of 15 from Messrs Murray, Dumfries, selling to Messrs Anderson, Aygyll.

Messrs Murray’s next pen of 20 sold for £140 to Messrs Westwood, Perth.
