Lockerbie Store Cattle Show & Sale

On Tuesday 11^th October Harrison & Hetherington held their fortnightly sale of store cattle at Lockerbie Mart. Despite reports of disappointing trades at other markets around the country Lockerbie once again proved itself as the place to sell cattle. Heifers topped at £1950 from Messrs Bell, Haas Side Farm. The same home also topped the bullocks at £1500.

Bullocks topped at 446ppk from Messrs Bell, Hass Side this was for a Limousin. Charolais Bullocks topped at 321ppk from Messrs Templeton, Glenlaugh. The Limousin heifer from Messrs Bell made 539ppk while the Champion Heifer from Messrs Fitzsimon made 517ppk. Messrs Wright, Hunthill topped at 312ppk. Quality cattle a dream to sell with prices exceeding expectations.
