On Wednesday 26th October Harrison and Hetherington held their third sale of Mule gimmer lambs and other breeding sheep within Lazonby Auction Mart.
A total of 700 gimmer lambs averaged £82.50 with a wonderful trade being witnessed throughout. Topping the sale was a pair of lambs from SJ & JM Brown, Bow Hall selling for £126. TE Clarke, Howgill Castle sold a strong pen for £112.
Running lambs were a serious trade with many lambs selling over £85. 600 breeding sheep were harder to place but still met a good trade throughout. Topping the sale was a pen of 12 Swaledale shearlings from Reed Partners, Dyke Nook for £110. Ewes topped at £108 for a pen of 2 shears from B Walton, Goodie Hill.
Ewe lambs topped at £65 from JA Ritson, Baggra Yeat for a pen of 20. A good day was had with a good climate rate with many vendors going away happy. We thank all our customers for your support throughout the season.
