Borderway Sale of Calves

On Wednesday 2^nd November Harrison & Hetherington conducted their weekly sale of calves.  Topping today’s trading at £460 was from Messrs Beaty, Stonewalls for a thumper of a Limousin calf matching that price at £460 was Messrs Johnstone, Petteril Side for an outstanding British Blue bull.  Friesians were in the money today topping at £240 from Messrs Harrington, Mounsey Bank.  Messrs Henderson, East Bowhill were up to £410 for Fleckvieh calves and Messrs Harrington, Mounsey Bank topped the Angus section at £370.  

Heifers would be harder to cash on the week but even still the trade topped at £440 again from Messrs Beaty, Stonewalls for a Limousin.  Blues were up to £405 from Messrs Martin, Orton Grange and Angus heifers topped at £210 from Messrs Harrington, Mounsey Bank.
