A total of 15 animals were forward for the 2022 Autumn sale of Whitebred Shorthorns.
1st Prize bull and the overall Champion receiving the A D Tweddle Perputual trophy was Blackburn Almighty, sired by Glentyne Grafter Boy out of Blackburn Margaret, bred and produced by G.Jackson, Blackburn, Newcastleton.
He sold for 3200gns, purchased by Messers N & B M Ireland, New House Farm, Cumbria
1st Prize female, reserve champion and winner of the new Ian Henderson Memorial trophy was Glentyne Lucinda 2nd sired by Glentyne George out of Hottbank Lucinda 12th, bred and produced by M G and J Taylor, Low Arvie, Castle Douglas. She sold for 2000gns and went to J B &A McAllister, Newton Stewart
Burnedge Katie generated a lot of interest, a junior heifer sired by Lochdochart Crusader out of Burnedge Tanith, bred and produced by D Hough, Lower Bent Farm, Oldham, she sold for 1350gns to M G & J Taylor, proceeds of her sale have kindly been donated to Dr Kershaw's Hospice, which helped care for the late Bryan Hough. The autobiography "Bryan Hough, Farmer and so much more" was also kindly donated.
