Rouge Sheep Society Show & Sale

The Annual Rouge sheep society sale at held at Carlisle on Friday 12^th August saw show at Borderway and a top price of 2800gns achieved for the ewe lamb Wrights Amelia consigned by SJ Wright. This lamb was sired by Tullyvallen Shumacher out of Wrights Winifred purchased by Messrs Norman and Hurd. From the same good home shearling ram Wrights Yalta sold to E Jones for 1300gns. 

The 1^st prize ram lamb and Reserve Overall Champion sold for the next best price of 1800gns to Edwin Draper. This lamb, Tiptop Abracadabra, was consigned by South West Scotland based A Jackson. He was sired by Sunrise Vice out of a Knighton Wagomama ewe.

The 1^st prize shearling sold for 1600gns, this was Hardhaugh Yam consigned by A & A Mitchell Yam was sired by Tullyvallen Shumacher out of Knighton ewe. He was purchased by GB Howsall, Lincolnshire.

Also breaking the 1000gns mark was E J Campbell with his ram lamb Balvaird Rouge Arthur selling to MJ & JC White.

Overall Champion was awarded to Bennachie Your Highness consigned by P Imlah which went on to sell to T & J Belfield for 800gns.
