Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 7^th December Harrison & Hetherington conducted their weekly sale with one of the largest calf sales in the North of England seeing a huge lift on the week with vendors and purchasers travelling from all four corners of the Country.

Regular consignors Messrs Fox, Windy Hill topped today trading at £510 for a superb 3 month old Dairy bred Limousin bull calf.  Turnbull Farming was up to £490 with a strapping Blue bull.  Angus bulls were up to £445 from Peile Ltd. Moorthwaite.   First time vendors Messrs Roan, Borland of Colvend topped the Herefords at £300 and Friesians topped at £310 from Messrs Maxwell, North Doddington,

Blue heifers were up to £385 from Messrs Irving, Brunt Hill and Angus heifers were up to £360 from Messrs Ramsey, Lodge of Kelton.  Limousins topped at £300 from Messrs Carlyle, Bleaberry and Herefords topped at £270 three times from Messrs Roan, Boreland of Colvend.
