St Boswells Sale of Breeding Cattle, Store Cattle & Sheep

St Boswells, Newtown St Boswells, Melrose, TD6 0PP

Harrison and Hetherington held the Dispersal Sale from Messrs Walker, Cammerlaws.  Cows topped at £1950.

Incalf Heifers topped at £2150 and was kindly donated to My Name’5 Doddie Foundation by the Walker family.

All cattle presented in great condition  and were a credit to the Walker Family.

Aberdeen Angus: £1950, £1900(2), £1880, £1850, £1820 (4), £1800; Limousin: £1780

Heifers Incalf-

Aberdeen Angus: £2150 (My Name’5 Doddie), £2100 (2), £2050, £2020(2), £2000 (3)

STORE CATTLE

Small show but a great trade.  Topped at £1160 for Hereford.x Heifers from Messrs Brown, Middle Moneynut.

Aberdeen Angus: £1030, £965 Adderstonshiels, £955 Harwood on Teviot; British Blue: £1085 Harwood on Teviot

Bullocks per kilo:

Aberdeen Angus: 249.2p Earlston Mains, 224.4p Adderstonshiels; British Blue: 221.4p Harwood on Teviot

Bullocks averaged 224.7p per kilo

Heifers per head:

Hereford: £1160 Middle Moneynut; Charolais: £1110 North Synton

Heifers per kilo:

Aberdeen Angus: 227.5p Middle Moneynut; Charolais: 233.7p, 215.6p North Synton

Heifers averaged 213.36p per kilo
