Texel Kelso Christmas Crackers Sale

Borderway, Rosehill, Carlisle, CA1 2RS

Leading the trade at the Kelso Christmas Crackers sale, Carlisle, was the Roxburgh flock of John Elliot with a gimmer by Walston Clansman at 2800gns.

This was EJR2104954, a gimmer out of a Haddo Balvenie daughter and sold with an index in the top 25% if the breed. In-lamb to Fimber Elysium, she was taken by Messrs Furness and Taylor, Buxton.

Then making 2000gns was one from Jonathan Watson’s Brijon flock, REW2108259. Sired by Craig Douglas Crackerjack she is out of a Brackenridge Strongbow daughter and sold carrying to Yarrow Diamond. Buying this one were R A Patterson and Son, Capheaton, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

And selling at 1800gns was the best from the Ingram family, with this being a Granite gimmer, IGM2138322, by Granite Chieftain and out of a Kimbolton Warrior daughter. She sold with an index in the top 25% and in-lamb to Feddal Road Easypeasy. This one found a new home with previous buyers Messrs Furness and Taylor.

A 1600gns call followed that with this money paid for another from the Brijon consignment. This was REW2108394, a Duhonw Backlash daughter out of a dam by Blaencar Bruiser. In-lamb to Loosebeare Digger, she sold to N and L Blenkorn, Driffield.

Close behind when making 1500gns was one from Michael James and family’s Duhonw flock, JMU2110544. Sired by Whitehart A Lister and out of a Glenside Victory-sired dam she sold carrying to Glenside Fortune and was taken by previous buyers R A Patterson and Son.

Following her at 1400gns was another from the Ingrams, with this one coming from the Logie Durno flock in the form of IGB2138287. This Granite Chieftain daughter is out of a dam by Deveronvale Warrior and sold in-lamb to Feddal Road Easypeasy. She was another taken by the Pattersons.
