On Monday 19th December Harrison & Hetherington held its weekly sale of Store Sheep. A smaller but mighty show of sheep was seen this week and as we look into the New Year the trade looks strong for all classes of store sheep. Todays sale averaged a very respectable £75. Topping todays sale was a pen of two Texel lambs which reached £104 from Messrs Cochranes Nurseries, Longtown. Closely following that at £100 was a pen of 8 Texels from Messrs Bell, Changue Farm. Also reaching £100 was again another pen of four Texels this time from Sheillahill Farming. In the Hill Section topping at £50 was a pen of 23 Cheviots from Messrs Lambert, Townhead.
