Borderway Sale of Calves

On Wednesday 21st December Harrison & Hetherington conducted their weekly sale of calves.  A good show of calves was forward for the last sale of the year.  Topping the sale was a British Blue Bull calf from SJ & JE Ogden, Pears Ghyll Farm, Penrith selling at £485.  Limousins from £455 From RH & EM Lord, The Bog, Brampton.  Aberdeen Angus sold to £450 from RJ & DL Cathers, Stannock Farm, Newton Stewart.  In the heifer section AJ & JA McKie of Wedholme Hill, Wigton topped with a Limousin at £330.  A V Elwen, Netherfield, Irthington sold a run of excellent British Blue heifers with a pair topping at £320.
