SUNNYBANK FLAMING HOT SETS THE TRADE ALIGHT AT THE SUNNYBANK SELECTION BOX SALE FROM MR HENRY JEWITT.
Blue Texel
Topping the trade at 20,000gns was Sunnybank Flaming Hot, a Blue Texel gimmer who won Reserve Female Champion at the Royal Welsh show earlier this year and was sired by £20,000 Whatmore Eric. She sold as a foundation ewe for Mr Jackson, Co Down new flock.

Sunnybank Freckles followed on at 5000gns, a Whatmore E-Male daughter selling to the Cleenagh flock of A & C Richardson, Co Fermanagh.

Sunnybank Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie sold to the next best of 4800gns. She is a flashy daughter of Drumard First Class and out of the flock’s flush ewe Sunnybank Estelle and joins the Derg flock of Allen & Shortt, Northern Ireland.

Badger Face Texel
The first shearling gimmer in the ring topped the Badger Face Texel section at 3800gns for Sunnybank Cexy, she sold to A & J Carson, Little Whisker flock in Northern Ireland.

The next best was a 2019 born Sunnybank Import ewe, she was sired by Turbo Das Dummer and sold to Messrs Booth, Huddersfield for 3000gns.
Following on at 2800gns was a shearling gimmer, Sunnybank Crikey, a homebred ewe out of the leading flush ewe 62335, who sold to Messrs Forsyth, Corra flock, Castle Douglas.
Ayrshire breeder Mr Morris purchased the next one for 2500gns, Sunnybank Cashmaker, she come from full imported bloodlines.
Dutch Spotted
Hitting the top spot in the Dutch Spotted section was a special homebred gimmer Sunnybank Endless Possibilities sired by Lochald Dictator, she sold in lamb to 7000gn Hazelberry Fatboy Slim for 3800gns to Messrs Dodd, Lockerbie.

Following on at 3000gns was Beech Hay Bolero a 2018 born ewe, who sol to the Diamond flock belonging to Messrs Shortt, Northern Ireland.
The second Dutch spotted in the ring caught the attention of Messrs Bezuidenhout, Cleveland who purchased Delightful of Beech Hay, a 2020 born flushing ewe for 2000gns.
This mark was attained another 3 times, firstly for 2 import ewes to Mr Steen, Coxhill flock and Messrs Nelson, Co Antrim, and finally for a shearling gimmer, Sunnybank Ewe Beaut to Messrs
