Borderway Sale of Store & Breeding Sheep

On Monday 16^th of January Harrison and Hetherington conducted the early sale of in lamb sheep and store lambs. A good show of sheep was forward with top price coming for a Beltex shearling from Emily Harryman, Wigton for a single scanned ewe to £180. Texel’s topped at £140 from Miss Laura Bell, Firs Farm. In lamb hoggs from the same farm topped at £125 for Suffolks scanned singles.

Store lambs met slight resistance with weather effecting trade and demand. Topping the trade was a single lamb from J Mattinson, Burthwaite. Suffolks topped at £70 for a pen of 7 from Andrew Kirkbride, Flimby.
