Borderway Sale of Calves

On Wednesday 18^th January Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves.  £550 was top price British Blue bull from Messrs Reed, Moss Side House for an outstanding 4 month old calf.  Limousin topped at £430 twice from Messrs Fox, Windy Hill.  Angus bulls topped three times at £495 from Messrs Horsley Ltd, Whitrigg Grange. Connell Farms Ltd, Newton Stewart topped the Fleckvieh section at £280 and Hereford bulls topped at £380 from Messrs Sewell, Woodside.  Holstein Friesians topped at £255 three times from Messrs Forrest, Meinfoot.

British Blue heifers topped at £440 from Messrs Reed, Moss Side once again, also Messrs Fox, Windy Hill topped the Limousin at £390.  Angus heifers met a nice trade topping at £330 again from Messrs Reed, Moss Side.  More calves required weekly.
