Lockerbie Store Cattle Sale

All types of cattle sought after at Lockerbie with some vendors trade reaching a new high. Heifers topped at £1530 twice for a British Blue and an Aberdeen Angus from Messrs Wilson, the Belzies and Messrs Jardine, Newbigging. British Blue bullocks sold to £1380 from Messrs Wilson, Belzies and Charolais bullocks sold to £1370 from Messrs Hyslop, Maryfield. Charolais bullocks topped the price per kilo at 280p from Messrs Spence, North Corrielaw while Limousin heifers sold to 283p from Messrs Paterson, Terrona.
