Carlisle Beef Breeding Sale

On Wednesday 25^th January Harrison and Hetherington held their monthly Beef Breeding sale at Borderway Mart. A massive crowd of buyers turned out for the first Wednesday Sale of Breeding Stock

Messrs Cowan, The Ash run of 6 heifers and calves sold to average £2916 and topped at £3500 for a British Blue cross heifer with Limousin bull calf and £3200 for a Limousin x heifer with Limousin bull calf.  Messrs Connell, Wanton Walls run of Limousin stock cows sold to average £2850 and topped at £3200 (x2) and he also  sold Limousin in calf heifers to £2500.

Messrs Pattinson, The Flatt run of Limousin and British Blue cross heifers in calf sold to average £1800 and topped at £2050 for a Limousin x and £2000 x 2 for a British Blue cross.
