Borderway Weaned Cattle Sale

On Wednesday 25^th January, Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of weaned cattle. Bullocks and bulls were a tremendous trade throughout, with ring 4 packed to the gunnels.

Limousin bulls sold up to £1480 from Messrs Graham, Rose Castle Farm. Aberdeen Angus bulls sold up to £1400 from Messrs Sailsbury, Beech Farm. Simmental bulls sold to £1190 from Messrs Gwynne, Castlewigg Farm.

Topping the bullock section at £1200 was a Limousin from Messrs Harrison, Lesson Hall, with British Blues to £1150 from Messrs Kerr, Nether Oakshaw. South Devons sold to £1120 from Messrs Barron, Deans Farm.

Heifers peaked at £1260 was a Limousin from Messrs Fletcher, Muirston Farm. Aberdeen Angus’s sold to £1070 from Messrs Thompson, Sanson Seal Farm.  South Devon topped at £1030 from Messrs Barron, Deans Farm.
