Borderway Inlamb Breeding sheep sale

On Monday the 6^th of February Harrison and Hetherington conducted its premier sale of in lamb sheep at Borderway Market. An entry of 800 in lamb sheep fell below the hammer to a huge crowd of buyers within Ring 3.

Topping the sale was a pen of 12 Texel cross ewes from Mr Mark Bell, Winterhope which sold for £275 (singles & twins). The same home sold a pen of 9 to £272 (singles & twins). Mr Bells run of 59 fantastic ewes went on to average a massive £247.59. Texel shearlings topped at £200 from J Browell & Son, Quarry House who sold 80 to average out at £200. Mules were met with a fantastic trade with top price coming from RH & J Irving, Meinbank selling 10 to £148 his run of 21 triplet ewes averaged £143.81. A big thank you to JW Pearson, Fairhill who held their flock dispersal with us on behalf of the late Kathleen Pearson. 

The first ewes & lambs were presented with top price coming from S Bowe, Midtown selling texel ¾ crops with single lambs to £86 a life.
